THE SPIRIT OF TIME -ZEITGEIST- 
Linear vs. Cyclical Time

      Is Time really a linear phenomenon? Does it really have a start and
   head to a definite end? Did it start with the arrival of Adam and Eve
   to earth?
      Will it really end with apocalypse? Does history belong to past and
   fortune-telling to the future? Likewise, are we walking on a straight road
   where the past is behind, while the future before us?
      The Western worldview having its basis on “accumulation”, has been
   asserting the illusion that we can reach anything we want by
   “accumulating knowledge” or “accumulating money”. Thus for a few
    centuries now, we have been living in a system of thought where we
    can become “noble”  by accumulating what our ancestors’ deeds,  
    “rich” by accumulating our earnings, and “man of knowledge” by
    accumulating  scientific knowledge.
